Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an account?
No account is required for workout logging. Sign in with a free account when you want to sync records between devices.
Is Premium a subscription?
New purchases are a one-time Lifetime Premium upgrade. No monthly or annual subscription. Check the App Store for the price in your region.
Can I use it on Android or the web?
Lift1up is available on iPhone with iOS 16.4 or later. Android is in development, and the web app is currently private.
Can I restore Premium after switching phones?
Yes. Restore with the Apple ID used for the purchase. Previous products can also be restored according to their original terms.
Where are my training records stored?
Without an account, record data stays on your device. Sign in to sync workout records, body data, templates, custom exercises, and similar record data for free. Photos are not synced and stay on the device.
Can I change the weight unit?
You can switch between kg and lbs under “Weight Unit” on the settings screen. Switching does not automatically convert your existing records.
How do I use the interval timer?
When you log a set on the training entry screen, the interval timer starts automatically. You can change the default number of seconds on the settings screen.
How are photos managed?
Free supports one photo per day; Premium supports multiple photos per day. Photos are never sent to or stored on Lift1up servers. They stay on your device, and sharing or Camera Roll saves happen only when you choose them. Save important photos to Camera Roll because app deletion or device failure can erase them. Device-level iCloud backup follows your operating-system settings.
How do I change which body metrics are recorded?
Under “Body Record Settings” on the settings screen, you can toggle the display of body-fat percentage, muscle mass, and waist on or off.
Can I back up my data?
You can back up using the following methods from “Data Management” on the settings screen.
- Record sync (Free): Sign in to sync training records, body data, templates, custom exercises, and similar records. Photo files and photo metadata are not synced.
- JSON export (Free): You can export your training records, body data, and more as a JSON file and import it again later. Photos are not included.
Is my data sent to the cloud?
When you sign in, workout, body, and other record data is sent to Firebase over an encrypted connection for sync. Photo files and photo metadata are never sent to Lift1up servers. We may also collect crash reports to improve stability without including personally identifying information.
