Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 30, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy sets out how alpha-team (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information and usage data in Lift1up (the “App”).

2. Information We Collect and Store

As a rule, the App stores the following information on your device.

Information stored on your device:

  • Training records (exercises, weight, reps, and so on)
  • Body data (body weight, body-fat percentage, muscle mass, and so on)
  • Photo data (body progress photos)
  • Routines and templates
  • App settings (units, theme, notification settings, and so on)

To provide certain features, the App may also request permission to access the following device functions.

  • Camera — used to take body progress photos.
  • Photo library — used to select and save photos.
  • Notifications — used to let you know when a timer finishes.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services.

(a) Sentry (error monitoring)
We collect crash reports and error information anonymously in order to improve the stability of the App. Information that identifies you personally, such as your name or email address, is not transmitted.

(b) Firebase Authentication (optional sign-in)
Only when you sign in with Apple or Google do we process the information used to identify you (such as your email address and user ID). If you do not sign in, this information is not obtained.

(c) Cloud Firestore (record sync, optional)
When you sign in and use sync, workout records, body data, templates, custom exercises and body parts, reminders, and settings are stored in Firebase over an encrypted connection. Photo files and photo metadata are never sent to or stored in Firebase. Photos stay on your device; sharing and Camera Roll saves happen only when you choose them.

(d) Firebase Analytics (usage data, on by default)
To help improve the App, we send anonymous usage data about screen transitions and interactions (on by default). Information that identifies you personally is not transmitted. You can turn this off at any time via “Send usage data” on the settings screen.

(e) RevenueCat / Apple App Store (purchases)
When you purchase Lift1up Premium, purchase and receipt information is processed through Apple’s in-app purchase infrastructure and RevenueCat. We do not obtain payment details themselves (such as credit card numbers).

(f) Reference links to public YouTube videos
On plan detail screens, alongside Lift1up’s own original routines, we may provide reference links to public YouTube videos and playback via YouTube’s official IFrame Embed Player. Video playback and thumbnail loading are handled by YouTube’s servers and are governed by YouTube’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Lift1up is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or the creators shown.

(g) Google AdMob (advertising)
When using the free plan, the App may display Google AdMob banner ads on browsing screens such as history and calendar. Ads are not shown while logging, selecting exercises, using the timer, or taking photos. AdMob uses advertising identifiers (IDFA / IDFV) to deliver and optimize ads. IDFA is only used when you select “Allow” in the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, in which case it may be used for cross-app/cross-web advertising tracking. If you select “Ask App Not to Track”, no third-party ad tracking is performed. Ads are not shown for Premium subscribers. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details.

(h) Google Analytics (official website analytics)
Our official website (lift1up.app) uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to send information such as pages viewed, browser type, and approximate region to Google; this does not include information that identifies you personally. For details, see “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services”. You can disable this transmission with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. Purpose of Use

The information we collect and store is used to provide the features of the App—such as displaying training records, graph analysis, and on-device photo comparison—and to fix issues and improve the quality of the service.

5. Provision to Third Parties

Except as required by law, we do not provide, share, or sell personal information to third parties. We do not transmit data beyond what is necessary to provide the services listed in the preceding section.

6. International Data Transfers

Firebase and Sentry may maintain servers outside Japan, and your data may be processed outside Japan when these services are used. Each service manages data in accordance with international standards such as the GDPR.

7. Data Deletion and Your Rights

Uninstalling the App deletes record data and photos stored inside the App. Photos are not backed up to Lift1up servers and may be lost if the App is deleted or the device fails. Save important photos to Camera Roll. Device-level iCloud backup follows your operating-system settings. Deleting your account also deletes synced record data in the cloud; photos already saved to Camera Roll are not deleted by this action.

If you would like to request disclosure, correction, or deletion of the data we hold, please contact us using the contact details below.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Policy may be changed without prior notice, and the revised Policy takes effect when it is posted within the App. If there are significant changes, we will notify you within the App or through an update notice.
